Een droom om waar te maken.....
Omschrijving:
Al heel lang wilde ik lange fietsreizen maken over de wereld, bij voorkeur alleen en dan onderweg van alles laten gebeuren. Genieten van de natuur en met mensen in gesprek komen, die je niet zo gauw zult spreken als je met meerdere personen reist.
Ik heb dat nu één keer mogen meemaken: in januari 2011 heb ik twee weken gefietst in de Mekong Delta in Zuid-Vietnam. Heerlijk was het, het land en de mensen te ontmoeten waarmee ik een zekere verbondenheid heb uit de tijd van de Vietnam-oorlog. Eind 60-er, begin 70-er jaren kwamen bij ons de beelden en verhalen binnen van de verschrikkingen van deze oorlog. Velen van ons hebben gedemonstreerd tegen de Amerikanen, die deze oorlog begonnen waren. Het was dan ook goed om dat land en zijn mensen van dichtbij mee te maken.
Lange tocht.
Nu ga ik een tweede lange fietstocht maken: zondag 27 mei vertrek ik met een nieuwe fiets met volle bepakking via Budapest, Beograd, Constanza (aan de Zwarte Zee) naar Istanbul. Een tocht van ruim 3000 km. Mijn fiets is een Santos Travelmaster 2.8, net gekocht bij Jan Willem Marchall van Cycle You, bij de Schellingwouderbrug in Amsterdam. (www.marchallcycleyou.nl)
Reisplan.
Waarom deze route? Met mijn vorige woonschip, een varende klipperaak wilde ik graag de Donau afvaren naar de Zwarte Zee. Dat schip heb ik in 2001 verkocht, ik woon nu op een woonark op dezelfde ligplaats in de Amstel aan de rand van Amsterdam. Om toch enigszins het gevoel te hebben als met een schip de rivieren af te varen, wil ik nu met de fiets de Rijn, de Main en de Donau volgen tot aan Constanza. Als ik genoeg tijd en energie heb dan ook de laatste 600 km naar Istanbul. Uiterlijk 15 juli wil ik weer thuis zijn. Terug het liefst met de trein, maar als ik onderweg meer tijd nodig heb, dan kan het ook met het vliegtuig.

Een droom om waar te maken.....
Omschrijving:
Al heel lang wilde ik lange fietsreizen maken over de wereld, bij voorkeur alleen en dan onderweg van alles laten gebeuren. Genieten van de natuur en met mensen in gesprek komen, die je niet zo gauw zult spreken als je met meerdere personen reist.
Ik heb dat nu één keer mogen meemaken: in januari 2011 heb ik twee weken gefietst in de Mekong Delta in Zuid-Vietnam. Heerlijk was het, het land en de mensen te ontmoeten waarmee ik een zekere verbondenheid heb uit de tijd van de Vietnam-oorlog. Eind 60-er, begin 70-er jaren kwamen bij ons de beelden en verhalen binnen van de verschrikkingen van deze oorlog. Velen van ons hebben gedemonstreerd tegen de Amerikanen, die deze oorlog begonnen waren. Het was dan ook goed om dat land en zijn mensen van dichtbij mee te maken.
Lange tocht.
Nu ga ik een tweede lange fietstocht maken: zondag 27 mei vertrek ik met een nieuwe fiets met volle bepakking via Budapest, Beograd, Constanza (aan de Zwarte Zee) naar Istanbul. Een tocht van ruim 3000 km. Mijn fiets is een Santos Travelmaster 2.8, net gekocht bij Jan Willem Marchall van Cycle You, bij de Schellingwouderbrug in Amsterdam. (www.marchallcycleyou.nl)
Reisplan.
Waarom deze route? Met mijn vorige woonschip, een varende klipperaak wilde ik graag de Donau afvaren naar de Zwarte Zee. Dat schip heb ik in 2001 verkocht, ik woon nu op een woonark op dezelfde ligplaats in de Amstel aan de rand van Amsterdam. Om toch enigszins het gevoel te hebben als met een schip de rivieren af te varen, wil ik nu met de fiets de Rijn, de Main en de Donau volgen tot aan Constanza. Als ik genoeg tijd en energie heb dan ook de laatste 600 km naar Istanbul. Uiterlijk 15 juli wil ik weer thuis zijn. Terug het liefst met de trein, maar als ik onderweg meer tijd nodig heb, dan kan het ook met het vliegtuig.

Een droom om waar te maken.....
Omschrijving:
Al heel lang wilde ik lange fietsreizen maken over de wereld, bij voorkeur alleen en dan onderweg van alles laten gebeuren. Genieten van de natuur en met mensen in gesprek komen, die je niet zo gauw zult spreken als je met meerdere personen reist.
Ik heb dat nu één keer mogen meemaken: in januari 2011 heb ik twee weken gefietst in de Mekong Delta in Zuid-Vietnam. Heerlijk was het, het land en de mensen te ontmoeten waarmee ik een zekere verbondenheid heb uit de tijd van de Vietnam-oorlog. Eind 60-er, begin 70-er jaren kwamen bij ons de beelden en verhalen binnen van de verschrikkingen van deze oorlog. Velen van ons hebben gedemonstreerd tegen de Amerikanen, die deze oorlog begonnen waren. Het was dan ook goed om dat land en zijn mensen van dichtbij mee te maken.
Lange tocht.
Nu ga ik een tweede lange fietstocht maken: zondag 27 mei vertrek ik met een nieuwe fiets met volle bepakking via Budapest, Beograd, Constanza (aan de Zwarte Zee) naar Istanbul. Een tocht van ruim 3000 km. Mijn fiets is een Santos Travelmaster 2.8, net gekocht bij Jan Willem Marchall van Cycle You, bij de Schellingwouderbrug in Amsterdam. (www.marchallcycleyou.nl)
Reisplan.
Waarom deze route? Met mijn vorige woonschip, een varende klipperaak wilde ik graag de Donau afvaren naar de Zwarte Zee. Dat schip heb ik in 2001 verkocht, ik woon nu op een woonark op dezelfde ligplaats in de Amstel aan de rand van Amsterdam. Om toch enigszins het gevoel te hebben als met een schip de rivieren af te varen, wil ik nu met de fiets de Rijn, de Main en de Donau volgen tot aan Constanza. Als ik genoeg tijd en energie heb dan ook de laatste 600 km naar Istanbul. Uiterlijk 15 juli wil ik weer thuis zijn. Terug het liefst met de trein, maar als ik onderweg meer tijd nodig heb, dan kan het ook met het vliegtuig.

Een droom om waar te maken.....
Omschrijving:
Al heel lang wilde ik lange fietsreizen maken over de wereld, bij voorkeur alleen en dan onderweg van alles laten gebeuren. Genieten van de natuur en met mensen in gesprek komen, die je niet zo gauw zult spreken als je met meerdere personen reist.
Ik heb dat nu één keer mogen meemaken: in januari 2011 heb ik twee weken gefietst in de Mekong Delta in Zuid-Vietnam. Heerlijk was het, het land en de mensen te ontmoeten waarmee ik een zekere verbondenheid heb uit de tijd van de Vietnam-oorlog. Eind 60-er, begin 70-er jaren kwamen bij ons de beelden en verhalen binnen van de verschrikkingen van deze oorlog. Velen van ons hebben gedemonstreerd tegen de Amerikanen, die deze oorlog begonnen waren. Het was dan ook goed om dat land en zijn mensen van dichtbij mee te maken.
Lange tocht.
Nu ga ik een tweede lange fietstocht maken: zondag 27 mei vertrek ik met een nieuwe fiets met volle bepakking via Budapest, Beograd, Constanza (aan de Zwarte Zee) naar Istanbul. Een tocht van ruim 3000 km. Mijn fiets is een Santos Travelmaster 2.8, net gekocht bij Jan Willem Marchall van Cycle You, bij de Schellingwouderbrug in Amsterdam. (www.marchallcycleyou.nl)
Reisplan.
Waarom deze route? Met mijn vorige woonschip, een varende klipperaak wilde ik graag de Donau afvaren naar de Zwarte Zee. Dat schip heb ik in 2001 verkocht, ik woon nu op een woonark op dezelfde ligplaats in de Amstel aan de rand van Amsterdam. Om toch enigszins het gevoel te hebben als met een schip de rivieren af te varen, wil ik nu met de fiets de Rijn, de Main en de Donau volgen tot aan Constanza. Als ik genoeg tijd en energie heb dan ook de laatste 600 km naar Istanbul. Uiterlijk 15 juli wil ik weer thuis zijn. Terug het liefst met de trein, maar als ik onderweg meer tijd nodig heb, dan kan het ook met het vliegtuig.

[description] => Al heel lang wilde ik lange fietsreizen maken over de wereld, bij voorkeur alleen en dan onderweg van alles laten gebeuren. Genieten van de natuur en met mensen in gesprek komen, die je niet zo gauw zult spreken als je met meerdere personen reist.
Ik heb dat nu één keer mogen meemaken: in januari 2011 heb ik twee weken gefietst in de Mekong Delta in Zuid-Vietnam. Heerlijk was het, het land en de mensen te ontmoeten waarmee ik een zekere verbondenheid heb uit de tijd van de Vietnam-oorlog. Eind 60-er, begin 70-er jaren kwamen bij ons de beelden en verhalen binnen van de verschrikkingen van deze oorlog. Velen van ons hebben gedemonstreerd tegen de Amerikanen, die deze oorlog begonnen waren. Het was dan ook goed om dat land en zijn mensen van dichtbij mee te maken.
Lange tocht.
Nu ga ik een tweede lange fietstocht maken: zondag 27 mei vertrek ik met een nieuwe fiets met volle bepakking via Budapest, Beograd, Constanza (aan de Zwarte Zee) naar Istanbul. Een tocht van ruim 3000 km. Mijn fiets is een Santos Travelmaster 2.8, net gekocht bij Jan Willem Marchall van Cycle You, bij de Schellingwouderbrug in Amsterdam. (www.marchallcycleyou.nl)
Reisplan.
Waarom deze route? Met mijn vorige woonschip, een varende klipperaak wilde ik graag de Donau afvaren naar de Zwarte Zee. Dat schip heb ik in 2001 verkocht, ik woon nu op een woonark op dezelfde ligplaats in de Amstel aan de rand van Amsterdam. Om toch enigszins het gevoel te hebben als met een schip de rivieren af te varen, wil ik nu met de fiets de Rijn, de Main en de Donau volgen tot aan Constanza. Als ik genoeg tijd en energie heb dan ook de laatste 600 km naar Istanbul. Uiterlijk 15 juli wil ik weer thuis zijn. Terug het liefst met de trein, maar als ik onderweg meer tijd nodig heb, dan kan het ook met het vliegtuig.
